42^nd IFFI Awards

The 42^nd International film festival of India (IFFI) awards, 2011 were presented in Panaji, Goa on December 3.the awardees are:

• Golden Peacock Award : Colombian film porfirio, directed by Alejandro Landes and produced by Francisco Aljure.
• Silver Peacock Award(For Best Director) :Asghar Farhadi for the Irani films Jodaeiye Nader az Simin (Nader and Simin: A Separation)
• Special jury Award: Malayalam film  Adaminte Makan Abu (Abu,Son of Adam),an Indian film Directed by Salim Ahmed.
• Best Male Actor: Sasson Gaby of Israel for the Israeli film Restoration directed by Joseph Madmony.
• Best Female Actor: Russian actor Nadezda Marking for Elena by Andrei Zvyagintsev.
• Golden lamp Award (for short film): Another Planet Directed by Smita Bhide.
• Silver lamp Tree Award: Crazy Beast  Strong Every Time directed by Moon Molson.
