Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination designated as BCECE, carries out an entrance exam in order to seek entrances into Graduate level technical and non-technical Courses in Bihar. The programs are mainly based on engineering/medical/agricultural course. Besides, they also organize post graduate admission test (PGMAT) post graduate medical colleges in Bihar.

After completion of one program only the bachelor degree will be awarded. The program (whether engineering / medical / architecture) which an individual will pursue at undergraduate level is based on the choice of subjects / papers which an individual’s writes in the Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination (BCECE). The candidate must select the papers in the BCECE exam on the basis of subject combination that an individual has chosen at qualifying level.
Few types of program (engineering / medical / architecture) offer an array of courses. Such courses which are studied by the candidate at undergraduate level are based on the merit ranking scored by an individual in the Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination (BCECE).
After completion of such programs the candidates will be placed in the repute government or private agencies.
- In case of Engineering/ Pharmacy Stream, there is no bound on minimum age.
- In case of Medical Stream, the minimum age should be 17 years as per the mentioned date on the prospectus/application.
- In case of Agriculture Stream, the minimum age is required to be 17 years as on the mentioned date on the prospectus/application.
Other structure of Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination (BCECE):
The total duration of BCECE exam is three hours. Each section Physics, Chemistry, and Math’s/ Biology will reflect questions of 1 hour duration each. The questions put up in the exam paper are related to the subjects of (10+2) examination. The individuals appearing for engineering programs should cover all the topics of the subjects including Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, along with Biology. Individuals undertaking Medical and Agricultural programs must study Physics, Chemistry and Biology as well as Mathematics of the qualifying examination. The questions paper will be set in English language only.
Qualification limit for Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination (BCECE):
An individual’s willing to appear for BCECE exam should have passed +2 Examinations or the examination equal to the examination with Physics, Chemistry and Biology / Mathematics. Candidate studying in the last year of qualifying exam can also appear in the BCECE exam.
