Like other answers stated, there are no legal educational requirements, however some of the leagues have specific requirements to represent players. More importantly, though, you should consider the following as just as important as your education:

1. You need to network, network, network, and then network some more.
2. You need to pick a specific sport or two and focus on representing athletes within those sports. Niche marketing.
3. Each sport has a lot of nuances and it is unlikely you will be able to represent athletes in multiple sports and be successful.
4. Don't go to law school thinking you will have athletes knocking on your door. use law school as one tool to succeed in your professional endeavors.
5. No matter how great your education, you still need the ability to bring in business and clients.
