ICC T-20 WORLD CUP SERIES, 2014:

And the New Champion of ICC T-20 world cup is Sri Lanka who beats the former winner India by 6 wickets. India scored only 130/4 in 20 over which was not a sufficient score against Sri Lanka and they achieved it easily to make 134/4 only in 17.5 overs.

ICC world Twenty20 World cup series started in Bangladesh with the qualifying round from March 16, 2014 in Dhaka. For the first time Nepal, United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Hong Kong featured in the ICC T20 world Cup 2014.

For the first time 16 teams played in a World Cup event. A total of 51 matches were played during the 2014 T20 World Cup including 16 warm-up matches, 32 group matches, 2 semis and finals. All teams played four group matches before they qualify for the semis and final.
