Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Exam (JCECE)

Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Exam (JCECE) is the entrance test for various fields of medical, engineering and technological sciences taking place in the state of Jharkhand in India. This entrance test is regulated by the government of Jharkhand.

Who are eligible to sit for Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Exam (JCECE)?

  • Candidates who are willing to pursue the engineering and technological degree course must have English, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in their (10+2) standard. These candidates must pass in each of those subjects individually in their 12th standard board examination.
  • Candidates who are willing to pursue the medical science must have English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology in their (10+2) standard. These candidates must pass in each of those subjects individually in their 12th standard board examination.
  • Candidates who are willing to pursue either the medical science or the engineering and technological degree must have English, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology in their (10+2) standard. These candidates must pass in each of those subjects individually in their 12th standard board examination.

This is quite a tough exam and the candidates must have secure a minimum cut off marks in the entrance test so that their marks can be taken into consideration and go for further process.

  • In the medical science there is opening for MBBS, BDS and Homeopathy. The candidates will get their chance in those streams depending upon the merit list. Those who attain the top scores will get chance in MBBS, next comes the BDS and after that Homeopathy.
  • Under the agriculture and forestry department candidates get chance for studying degree course in veterinary and agriculture.
  • Candidates who are enlisted in the merit list of the entrance test for engineering and technological degree course will get chance in the engineering and technological colleges. There are many courses available in the engineering colleges. They are civil engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, electronics and communication engineering, information technology, automobile engineering, electrical and electronics engineering, computer science etc. These streams of engineering are allotted to the candidates in the counseling session depending upon the merit list in the entrance examination.

Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Exam (JCECE) is applicable mainly for the candidates of Jharkhand and also for the other states of India. There are some reserved seats present for the candidates from all India entrance examination. Some private colleges can take candidates through this examination besides government colleges.
