Kerala Engineering Architecture Medical (KEAM) Entrance Test

Kerala Engineering Architecture Medical (KEAM) Entrance Test occurs every year to select eligible and successful candidates for engineering, architecture and medical studies.

There are various degree courses and other streams.

  • Architecture: Candidate should have English as one of the compulsory languages in 10+2 along with physics, chemistry and mathematics as their optional subjects. The candidates should pass in all these subjects. This is a five year course.
  • Medical: for this stream candidate should have English as one of the compulsory languages in 10+2 along with physics, chemistry and biology as their optional subjects. The candidates should pass in all these subjects. Under the medical stream there is MBBS, BDS for dental, veterinary, homeopathy.
  • Agriculture: for this stream candidate should have English as one of the compulsory languages in 10+2 along with physics, chemistry and biology as their optional subjects. The candidates should pass in all these subjects. Under this category candidates can study bachelor’s degree in agriculture, fisheries and forestry.
  • Engineering: candidate should have English as one of the compulsory languages in 10+2 along with physics, chemistry and mathematics as their optional subjects. The candidates should pass in all these subjects. It is a four year course. Under this category candidates can be able to study different streams of engineering courses. Some of these streams like: ● Civil, ● Computer science, ● Electronics and Communication, ● Electrical and Electronics,● Electrical, ● Mechanical, ● Information Technology

Kerala Engineering Architecture Medical (KEAM) Entrance Examination takes place for two days. First day of the examination candidates have to appear for physics and chemistry. The second day of the examination the candidates have to appear for mathematics and biology. Those who want to sit for medical should sit for physics, chemistry and biology. Those who want to sit for engineering should sit for physics, chemistry and mathematics. Those who want to sit for both medical and engineering should sit for physics, chemistry, mathematics and biology. The medium of questions and answers is English. The pattern of the examination is subjective type. After the evaluation of the papers of the candidates the rankings of the candidates are declared depending on the merit list in the respective course.

There are both government and non-government institutions present and students get admitted on the merit basis. Kerala Engineering Architecture Medical (KEAM) Entrance Examination occurs mainly in the month of April every year.
