  • India’s current account deficit was narrower than expected at $21.8 billion, or 4.9 per cent of gross domestic product, in the June quarter, data released on Monday showed.

  • The Allahabad high court on Monday stayed the transfer of some constables from Muzaffarnagar district following the communal riots earlier this month and issued notice to senior minister Azam Khan at whose behest, the petitioners said, the orders were issued.
