  • Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal launched a revamped 24×7 anti-graft helpline and promising to make Delhi the country’s “first corruption-free city”.
  • Congress veteran and old cricket hand Rajeev Shukla has emerged as the front-runner for the post of IPL chairman. recently Indian cricket board (BCCI) annouced that Shukla will replace Ranjib Biswal, reports Indranil Basu.
  • Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday said judges must not fear the reaction of five-star activists while discharging their “divine“ duty of dispensing justice as per the Constitution and law.
  • Former Tamil Nadu agriculture minister S S Krishnamoorthy , who was dropped from the state cabinet on March 7 after an engineer in his department committed suicide, was arrested on charges of abetment on Saturday night.

Central Bank of India’s 21.5 percent assets is either bad or has been restructured to keep them from turning into non-performing assets (NPAs).
  • The Large Hadron Collider is the world’s largest and most powerful particle collider created by the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN). The collider is placed in a tunnel with a circumference of 27 km at a depth ranging from 50 to 175 meters beneath the Swiss-French border near Geneva. The collider has been stopped since two years and now on 5th April, 2015 it is started again after upgradation.
  • Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL) has bagged prestigious Golden Peacock National Award on 5th April, 2015. This award was initiated to encourage total quality improvement in both manufacturing and service organization in India.
  • Serena Willioms become the champion of women’s single by defeating Spain’s player Carla Suarrez Navarro by 6-2, 6-0 score. She won her eighth Miami WTA title on 5th April, 2015 the last day of tournament.
  • Khaleda Zia is the chairperson and leader of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP). She is granted bail on 5th April, 2015 in two graft cases which had happened during her last term as Prime Minister from 2001 to 2006.
  • Bob Brayan (USA) and Mike Brayan (USA) won the Miami WTA title by winning over the pair of Vasek Melo (Canada) and jack Sock (USA) by 6-3, 1-6, [10-8] score.
