  • The Supreme Court said to all private hospitals in the country to provide free treatment, including medicines and expensive reconstruction surgeries, to such victims.
  • 2008 Mumbai attack mastermind and Lashkar-e-Toiba operations commander Zaki-ur-Rehman Lakhvi out of jail on 10th April after five years. India also raised strong protest with Pakistan over release of Lakhvi.
  • Homi Adajania directed 2 minute 34 seconds video clip featuring Dipika Padukone which goes viral among viewers. He spoke for the first time about the clip which is based on women empowerment and can not cover such complex issues in a short time video clip. Video is getting criticism for conveying wrong message.
  • The Times of India newspaper won the 2 gold and 2 silver award on 10th April at a star-studded awards show in Goa. The Group also won a Gold for Mumbai Mirror’s ‘I am Mumbai’ campaign and won a Silver Abby for best brand innovation in the newspapers or online category for its super-special panorama football World Cup spread.
  • Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and French President Francois Hollande signed on 17 agreement on April 10, 2015. During the held talk of India and France, Modi said that India will purchase of 36 Rafale jets from France through a government-to-government deal worth around $4 billion, without any `Make in India’.
  • Bollywood filmmaker Vidhu Vinod Chopra made her debut film Broken Horses which was released on April 10, 2015. Film is co-written, directed and produced by Vidhu Vinod Chopra and based on US-Mexico border gang wars.
  • Delhi Metro’s first-ever “green“ electrical receiving sub-station (RSS) has been constructed in Faridabad to cater to energy requirements of the upcoming Badarpur-Faridabad Metro corridor.

  • At least 33 people were killed, most of them children, when a bus heading from Benslimane to Laayoune in Western Sahara burst into flames after colliding with a gas tanker in Morocco on April 10, 2015.
  • The country’s largest housing finance company HDFC has cuts its lending rate by 20 basis points with effect from April 13. The corporation will extend loans at 9.9%, which is lower than the rate being charged by the State Bank of India.
  • New promoter Ajay Singh replaced SpiceJet’s chief commercial officer Kaneswaran Avili has resigned from the low-cost carrier (LCC).
  • IPL team Rajasthan Royal win the match over Kings XI punjab on 10th April and Man of the Match is Australia’s World Cup hero James Faulkner for his scored a 33-ball 46.
  • Former Australia cricketer Richie Benaud passed away on 10th April, 2015 at the age of 84 after battling skin cancer. He ended his Test career with 248 Wickets and 2201 runs. He was one of the only ten Australian cricketers who has scored more than 10,000 runs and taken more than 500 wickets in first class cricket.
  • India can provide training to Nepalese cricketers and also sought support in development of cricket facilities in Nepal, a Sports Ministry release said.
