  • 77 years old Shashi Kapoor has been given Dadasaheb Phalke Award by Information and Broadcasting Minister Arun Jaitley on May 10, 2015 for his immense contribution in the Indian film industry.
  • Prime Minister has launched the Rs 16,000 crore revamped and modernized IISCO (Indian Iron and Steel Company) Steel Plant at Burnpur, Asansol, West Bengal on May 10, 2015. It is the fifth integrated steel plant of SAIL (Steel Authority of Inida) and country’s biggest blast furnace for steel production.
  • Polish presidential election was scheduled on May 10, 2015 to elect its next president for upcoming five years. According to Poland’s constitution, the president must be elected by an absolute majority of valid votes.
