  • The BJP in Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday said it has assured all help to Omar Abdullah government to bring peace in the Valley provided it does nothing to demoralise the security forces and gives them a free hand to tackle the situation.
  • Attributing the double-digit inflation to the petro hike, Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee on Wednesday said that prices would moderate by the end of the kharif season, and inflation would come down to 5-6 per cent by the year-end.
