  • Rahul forced Sonia to decline PM post in 2004: Natwar:- Rahul was totally against his mother becoming PM. He said she would be killed like his father and grandmother and as a son he would not allow her to become the PM.
  • The US economy rebounded sharply in the second quarter as consumers stepped up spending and businesses restocked, Gross domestic product expanded at a 4% annual rate after shrinking at a revised 2.1% pace in the first quarter, the commerce department said on Wednesday.

  • In Final To Settle For Silver Medals :- Lalita Sehrawat lasted a little over half-a-minute, World championship bronze medallist Bajrang was outplayed in just over a minute and Sakshi Malik was on the mat just a little longer. All three were caught off-guard by their rivals.
  • Weightlifter Mali lifts bronze in 94kg :- Chandrakant Mali added another medal from the weightlifting arena after he won a bronze in the men’s 94kg, while India’s top squash players Dipika Pallikal and Joshana Chinappa started their campaign in women’s doubles with a victory in the 20th Commonwealth Games here.
