  • 336 members of Lok Sabha have voted in favour of the Constitution’s 126th Amendment Bill while 11 votes were for against and 10 abstentions. Thus bill was approved with required two-third majority on May 6, 2015.
  • The Constitution’s 119th Amendment Bill for Land Boundary Agreement with Bangladesh was passed by Rajya Sabha on 6th May with full support from 181 members. The bill was already passed by Union Cabinet on May 5, 2015.
