  • National Projects Construction Corporation Limited (NPCC) and WAPCOS Limited, a Mini Ratna PSU signed an MOU with WAPCOS.
  • President of Russia, Dmitry Medvedev visited India on 21-22 December 2010, to participate in the 10th Annual Summit meeting under the India Russia Strategic Partnership. 
  • German auto maker BMW launched its entry-level SUV, the X1 in the Indian market. The entry-level SUV from the BMW stable is priced a competitive Rs 22 lakh onwards. X1, the cheapest model from the auto maker will be available with 2-litre petrol and diesel engines.
  • National Thermal Power Corporation Ltd announced that it commissioned the Unit 7 of 500 MW of Korba Super Thermal Power Station. With the commissioning of Unit 7 of Korba Super Thermal Power Station, the total capacity of NTPC group exceeded to 33000 MW.

  • World Champion Indian Viswanathan Anand drew against Russian Vladimir Kramnik and finished joint second with Luke Mcshane of England at the 2010 London Chess Classic at Olympia.
  • Noh Seung-Yul, the South Korean teenage golfer became the youngest player to win the Asian Tour Order of Merit crown.
