  • Acclaimed filmmaker Rituparno Ghosh passed away in his sleep due to a massive cardiac arrest. He died at 7:30 am and was merely 49 years old. He had pancreatitis. As the first Pakistani female to reach the top of Everest, she would be sending a message to fellow citizens in a country sometimes criticized for its subjugation of women and where, in the most commonly known example, a teenager named Malala Yousafzai.

  • Google is ready to launch subscriptions for some of YouTube’s more popular video channels as per reports in media. The report also further states that this was in pipeline for months, and may be announced this week and will be applicable to as many as 50 YouTube channels.
