1906Maharashtra sahitya parishad was established in Pune. Maharashtra Sahitya Parishad is a literary institution situated in the West Indian state of Maharashtra for the purpose of the "furtherance of Marathi language and literature”. This is the first time that an Indian launch vehicle carried multiple satellites, one primary satellite IRS-P4, a 1036 kg Indian remote sensing satellite (IRS-P4) or OCEANSAT-1; and two auxiliary payloads into 720 km polar Sun-Synchronous Orbit (SSO).
