Which types of rocks are the most abundant constituents of the Earth’s crust?

Igneous rocks form 95% of the upper part of the earth’s crust. Igneous rock is formed by the solidification of lava that comes out generally from volcanoes. Some examples of igneous rocks are: granite and basalt.
